Teams #

Teams let multiple users collaborate on a single Meldry server. Each team has an owner, optional admins and a number of members.

Creating a team #

  1. Open Settings → Teams.
  2. Click Create Team.
  3. Enter a name and a URL-friendly slug (e.g. engineering).
  4. You become the team owner automatically.

Managing members #

  • Add — invite by handle; new members start as member.
  • Update role — promote/demote between member, admin, owner.
  • Remove — drop a member from the team.
  • Transfer ownership — the owner can hand over the team to any other member.

Server access #

When a server is associated with a team, every member can access it according to their role. Removing a member revokes access immediately on their next request.

Best practices #

  • Keep at least two owners on every important team in case one loses access.
  • Use admins for day-to-day member management; reserve owner for billing and structural changes.
  • Combine teams with custom domains so each team can run under its own subdomain.
